Mates Run a Winner for Rural Health

The Aglime of Australia Mates 500 Relay – the 1500 kilometre 11 day running event from Mukinbudin to Manjimup completed at the end of March 2014 has raised a more than $100,000 forThe Regional Men’s Health Initiative (RMHI) and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA).

Impressive Guests Join Mates Rural Run

The Aglime of Australia Mates 500 Relay has finalised their guest speakers for all of their evening functions.  2014 Speakers include:

  • Bruce Yardley – champion Australian Cricketer
  • Peter Hughes – Bali Bombing Survivor
  • Dean Cox – current WCE AFL player
  • Glen Jakovich and Ross Glendinning – former AFL players
  • Vince Garreffa – celebrity Butcher
  • Brendan Barrows, former WAFL player and prostate cancer survivor
  • David Parkin – former AFL player and premiership coach

Aglime of Australia right Behind Men’s Health Run

Premier supplier of lime in WA, Aglime of Australia has become the naming rights sponsor of the 2014 Mates 500 Relay – a 1500 kilometre 11 day running event from Mukinbudin to Manjimup from Monday 24March 2014.  This event aims to raise funds and awareness of men’s health and wellbeing issues in regional areas.

The chosen beneficiaries of the Aglime of Australia Mates 500 Relay are The Regional Men’s Health Initiative (RMHI) and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA).

Aglime of Australia has a long history of supporting rural communities and organisations and estimate that they give back $100,000 per year into country communities.  Previous events and teams they have lent their support to include Aglime Cricket Cup in Wyalkatchem, Mingenew Races and Rodeo, Country Colts football Championships in Wongan Hills, as well as local schools, and golf, football and bowling clubs.

Mates Rural Run to Raise Awareness of Men’s Health

The Aglime of Australia Mates 500 Relay – a 1500 kilometre 11 day running event from Mukinbudin in the Wheatbelt to Manjimup in the Great Southern will take place on Monday 24March 2014.  This year’s event hopes to build on the $120,000 previously raised, as well as significantly increase the profile of men’s health and wellbeing issues in regional areas.

The chosen beneficiaries of the Aglime of Australia Mates 500 Relay are The Regional Men’s Health Initiative (RMHI) and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA).
