Blokes Run 500 Km’s For A Cause

The footy season is set to begin.

You would hope most teams did their long pre-season running sessions before Christmas.

But at five am this morning, six south west WA footy coaches took on a 500 kilometre run from Nannup to Manjimup.

It’s called the Mates 500 Relay and it will last four days.

Their aim is to raise fifty-thousand dollars for prostate cancer and regional men’s health.

Footy coach and Manjimup based farming consultant Paul Omodei is one of the runners and main organisers of the relay.

He explained to Celia Polkinghorne the run will hold seminars at various towns in the south west to raise awareness for men’s health.
